Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a cannabinoid derived from the cannabis plant and classified as a phytocannabinoid. Today, CBD is the most dominant phytocannabinoid in cannabis, making up nearly 40% of what can be extracted from the plant.
But while CBD is more commonly known and used in a wide range of cannabis-related products, the phytocannabinoid cannabigerol (CBG) is undergoing studies for its potential pharmacological properties.
