It’s no secret that the insurance industry struggles to attract young talent.
According to Marshberry, 40% of employees at the average insurance agency are over 51, with many projected to retire within the next ten to fifteen years. And young people are not coming in to fill those jobs. Only about 5% of Millennials claimed to be “very interested” in pursuing a career in insurance, according to a 2012 Griffiths Insurance Education Foundation study.
